KNOCKOUT COMPETITION RULES


REVISED 2011



1. All players taking part in the competitions must be members of a club affiliated to the LEBBA.


2. Players in the pairs, open pairs, triples and fours must be members of the same club but players in the mixed pairs may be members from any of the affiliated clubs.


3. Unless otherwise stated, all competitions shall be played in accordance with the laws of the game as defined in the current edition of the “World Bowls – Laws of the Sport of Bowls”.

In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Competition Secretary shall be final.


4. All competition fees shall be decided at the Annual General Meeting and these fees to be paid by each club to the Treasurer as soon as requested.


5. The first named player in each tie in the draw shall be the Challenger and shall be responsible for all match arrangements.

As soon as possible when the opponent is known, the challenger must offer his opponent at least three dates for play, one of which shall be a Saturday or Sunday if his opponent requests this. The time for commencing a tie must be mutually agreed.


6. All ties must be completed by the completion date for that round as indicated on the Draw Sheet.

Any exceptions to this must be agreed with the Competition Secretary.


7. All finals will be played on the nominated Finals Day on the nominated green for that season.


8. Dress for all finals will be whites but all previous rounds will be greys.
